Consumer Marketing, Media Manager Lead

We're looking for an experienced consumer media professional to join our in-house media team. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding audiences, crafting distribution strategies and scaling world-class teams. This role will be responsible for managing a team that drives media strategy and execution across Facebook consumer marketing, including both product and brand efforts. The right person can lead both media strategy and hands-on execution, effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners, and establish operational excellence to maximize impact across the team.This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

  • Develop media strategies and plans to drive awareness, consideration and adoption of Facebook's product offerings
  • Maximize relationships with cross-functional partners across product marketing, creative, PR, partnerships, finance and analytics teams to develop impactful, integrated work
  • Serve as a credible, expert voice internally to represent media strategy considerations with internal stakeholders
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence media and audience strategy, while also informing tactical planning, execution and optimization
  • Develop and execute effective media strategies while simultaneously rolling-up your sleeves tactically
  • Help to intelligently scale the consumer media team, while establishing operational best practices around plan development, media investment management, systems and tools and streamlined measurement
  • Partner with manager to steward the team's development and career growth
  • Understand specific needs, media consumption nuances and sensitivities of consumers in both developed and emerging markets around the world
  • Tackle complex consumer marketing challenges with a strategic blend of analytical rigor and creativity
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in media strategy, innovation and measurement with an emphasis on brand marketing efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of developing and leading integrated media strategies, plans and campaigns at advertising, media or marketing agencies or in a relevant client role
  • Experience with planning and executing consumer media campaigns across multiple audience groups
  • Paid media experience across social, digital and offline channels
  • Able to initiate and drive opportunities independently, while operating in a complex organization
  • Background working directly with the Facebook platform
  • Manage both internal teams and external agency partners to develop media tactics and the execution of campaigns
  • Proven experience building and leading teams
  • Experience with scaling a team
  • Operationally minded
  • Project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experienced presenter comfortable delivering at the executive level
  • Communication skills to lead, influence and engage internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners
  • Understanding of the global media landscape

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
