Construction QA/QC Program Engineer-BMS

Facebook is seeking an experienced Building Management System (BMS) QA/QC Program Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering & Construction team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. This role is responsible for the generation, implementation and management of the Facebook Quality Control Program, including the coordination, performance and execution of construction inspections and testing services through the successful delivery of commissioning and turn-over for our campuses across the globe.

The successful candidate will be based in our Dublin 2 Headquarters with occasional travel (30%) to our sites in Sweden and Denmark.


  • Review and comment on BMS submittal documents for each project.
  • Attend all BMS Bench Test or Factory Witness Tests (FWT's) for the various projects.
  • Attend a sampling of other equipment supplier FWT's to verify proper BMS integration with the equipment.
  • Complete regularly scheduled site visits to each site under construction.
  • Assess BMS installation progress and ensure it is being accurately reported to the Construction Management Team.
  • Witness a sampling of the BMS vendor's sensor calibrations to ensure the proper process and equipment is being utilized.
  • Ensure that the BMS turn-up sequence is being followed and reported clearly to the Construction Management Team.
  • Review a sampling of the Level 2 BMS vendor documentation.
  • Review and comment on the General Contractor (GC)/Commissioning Agent (CxA) Level 3, 4, and 5 micro-schedules to ensure it adequately sequences and provides enough time for the required BMS start-up activities.
  • Review and comment on CxA Level 4 and 5 functional performance tests
  • Complete regularly scheduled site visits to each site under construction.
  • Assess schedule compliance in terms of BMS vendor activities.
  • Complete regularly scheduled site visits to each site under construction and witness a sampling of the CxA's execution of the functional performance tests to ensure compliance and thoroughness.
  • Review a sampling of the Level 4 CxA documentation for completeness, accuracy, and issue flagging/reporting.
  • Review a sampling of the Level 5 CxA documentation for completeness, accuracy, and issue flagging/reporting.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs or BMS installation and commissioning for data centers or mission critical construction projects.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science preferred but not required based upon experience level.
  • Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.
  • Experience in personnel management, and staffing and scheduling.
  • Experience in I&C disciplines.
  • Experience in mission critical power and cooling system infrastructure or other critical systems, and the ability to apply that experience to current data center challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on, start-up work environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Experience utilizing Autodesk BIM360 Field software.
