Community Manager, Games

Facebook is seeking a detail-oriented Community Manager to manage our growing community of gamers across Facebook Games, Instant Games, and Gaming Creators. As part of the Games Partnerships team, develop a community strategy, tools and analysis while also managing communication on internal and external platforms. The Games Partnerships team is a rapid growth organization working with the most exciting game developers, publishers, and creators across platforms from mobile/web to PC/console with the goal of fostering and strengthening gaming communities. This individual will be responsible for building and managing the related Facebook Gaming communities in addition to engaging with off platform communities. This person will also partner with internal product and engineering teams on new features and help optimize gaming creator communities on Facebook. Candidates will have experience working in community management in a dynamic environment as well as a track record of success in building and executing global strategic programs. The ideal candidate also has exceptional operational skills (analytics, reporting, etc.) and well as the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities on behalf of multiple partners. This position can be located in Seattle, WA, or Menlo Park, CA.


  • Partner with internal and external constituents, cultivating content and community conversation
  • Leverage community platforms and social channels to execute communication plans and generate community feedback
  • Represent the FB Games community by maintaining dialogue between the community and Facebook
  • Build close relationships with key community members, fans, and partners, while maintaining a positive community reputation
  • Help build and cultivate Facebook's gaming brand
  • Plan community activities and events, both on and off the Facebook platform
  • Provide comprehensive reports on community feedback, issues, concerns and trends to stakeholders to address the communities' needs
  • Develop and implement community assets such as game videos, social media content, podcasts, developer interviews, product updates, livestreams, written content, and more
  • 10+ years experience in community management
  • 10+ years experience in the games industry (any role)
  • Knowledge of games and the games industry
  • Experience working with PR and marketing to announce new products and features
  • Project management experience, with experience designing and leading strategy collaborating with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience presenting in front of groups and audiences
  • Crisis communications experience, working across teams to predict and resolve community-facing issues
  • Experience working through challenges, leading to recommendations and development of action plans
  • BA/BS degree
