Community Operations' focus is on improving the health of our products and helping people understand how to use them through both direct support interactions as well as scalable solutions. We need influencers who can align cross-functional partners to ensure the best possible experience for our platforms. Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of spam and how it affects Facebook, Instagram and our communities
  • Help create policies and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems and ensure the safety of the community
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative business analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to identify trends and opportunities in driving down spam and other nefarious behavior
  • Develop scripts to identify and remove spam-related content from our ecosystem at scale
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Analytics to identify, influence, and execute our abuse fighting strategies to improve the user experience on the site
  • Use sound analysis and impact metrics to develop new strategies and processes that increase operational efficiency and deliver better user experience
  • Use signals and insights to develop ideas for scalable solutions to support our users
  • Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives
  • Use problem solving skills to resolve large and complex business problems
  • Ability to use and learn tools like SQL and Excel to drive efficient analytics and reporting

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree (preference for engineering or quantitative disciplines such as math, statistics, computer science, information systems)
  • 3+ years of work experience in role involving strategic/analytical initiative's (project management, consulting experience, data analysis or technical systems)
  • 3+ years of work experience with data sets
  • 3+ years work experience with SQL
  • 1+ year of development experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, Unix Shell Scripting) required
  • Experience with engineering disciplines, systems testing and design is a strong preference
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze and resolve complicated issues, and distill that complexity into simple and concise communication
