The Business Planning & Operations (BP&O) Director, Global Business Marketing will manage a high performing and global team of eight ops team members while working cross-functionally with several groups at Facebook (including sales, finance, HR, and business intelligence). The objective of this role is to manage the BP&O function for our Global Business Marketing (GBM) organization. GBM is a critical function within our global sales organization that essentially manages all the content creation and distribution for Facebook's many B2B marketing efforts across both advertisers and partners. In your role, managing Business Planning and Operations for GBM, you will be a key strategic advisor to the VP of GBM by delivering against three core functions: 1) Core operations (e.g. planning, metrics, and rhythm of business), 2) Strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and 3) Organizational enablement through reporting and tools. Sample projects include sizing a new business opportunity, driving organizational design conversation, and leading the development of KPIs for the GBM organization.

The ideal leader is familiar with the digital advertising industry and working with marketing (both B2B and consumer) organizations in particular. Additionally, he/she will have a proven record of driving strategic business decisions by using clear frameworks, deploying excellent communication tactics, and producing deep analyses as the foundation upon which recommendations are built. Additionally, this leader must be passionate about Facebook and be an inspiring leader/manager who can quickly build relationships with people of varying personality types.

  • Strategic Planning
  • Support sales teams on medium/long-term planning including business potential, resourcing and org design
  • Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for Global Sales teams, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization

  • Project manage improvements to GBM team processes to drive higher efficiencies using a data-driven approach
  • Lead analysis on business performance to drive operational changes
  • Creative, drive, and refine operational reviews and rhythm of the business, leading business analysis including revenue, customer and market analysis
  • Management
  • Build and manage a high performing sales operations team
  • Partner with management on key business and operational activities
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the function in cross-functional teams
  • BA/BS
  • 16+ years of work experience in Management Strategy Consulting or Sales Planning & Operations, or 14+ years of experience with MBA/Master's degree
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets
  • Experience explaining concepts to audiences
  • People management experience
  • Experience influencing individuals at the C-Suite or Executive level and driving strategic business decisions
  • MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
  • Experience with online advertising
  • Experience working with or in support of many different business units, especially marketing orgs
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
