Business Development and Partnerships Manager, Workplace

To help with the ongoing growth of the Workplace business, we are seeking a world-class Platform Partner Manager who is passionate about Workplace by Facebook and the role that a connected workforce can play in improving the productivity of an organization.

Your mission is to help understand, identify and execute the technical partnerships strategy for Workplace. You will work to build an ecosystem of strategic ISVs and technology partners around Workplace which will include some of the largest SaaS providers. Your goal will be to amplify sales and product initiatives that have already found product market fit by partnering with strategic ISVs and SaaS providers. As well as, identify specific partner products and experiences that help Workplace acquire net-new customers and increase the addressable market of users. And finally, partner with the go to market teams to drive prospecting and co-sell with a prioritized set of strategic ISVs.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong passion and curiosity for enterprise software products, is obsessed with their potential for transforming how people work through technology enabled solutions and has experience working on complex deals.
This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park or San Francisco, CA.


  • Lead Workplace's technical partnerships strategy with strategic SaaS companies and inform the platform roadmap by closely collaborating cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering, Business Development, Policy, Legal, Marketing, PR and the Operations teams
  • Lead Partner outreach, motivate and guide the partner to create a successful joint business and technical integration with Workplace and Work Chat
  • Make our partners successful by maintaining direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and policy issues
  • Lead and execute the go-to-market plan with partner through joint PR, marketing, co-selling, developer relations enablement and materials
  • Enable Workplace sales teams with content, training, and accelerators on specific Partner solutions that can help accelerate deals or expand opportunities
  • Closely collaborate with Partners to produce and execute joint prospecting events and ensure Partner and Workplace sales team exhibit the right teaming behaviors (i.e. account mapping, account info. exchange etc.)
  • Represent Facebook in external meetings with executives from influential ecosystem companies as well as industry events and conferences
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time
  • Proven experience delivering partnership initiatives, having worked in product, consulting, investment banking, business development, partnership, with enterprise SaaS
  • Product experience contributing at both strategic and operational levels such as partnering with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with developer relations to support product launches
  • Analytical experience with experience diagnosing problems and crafting solutions but also introduce ways to validate and measure outcomes
  • Knowledge of platform dynamics, incentives, positioning, commercial negotiation and business risk constructs
  • Experience building working relationships at all levels of management, both internal and external facing especially with sales or pre-sales teams
  • Experience making an impact in alliances or channel roles involving going to market with product and solution partners
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, APIs, Webhooks
  • Consulting or investment banking experience
  • Superb influencing skills, you are adept at leading global projects in a fast-paced, changing environment by tackling challenges, driving recommendations and action plans
