Business Associate, Oculus

Oculus is seeking a highly motivated Business Associate to join a small team dedicated to providing strategic and operational support to the VP of VR. This is a highly unique opportunity to get a front-row seat to leadership decisions and dynamics. The Business Associate will be responsible for driving key initiatives forward while ensuring streamlined activities across Oculus. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Oculus and virtual reality, have a demonstrated interest in product and technology, and have an excitement to learn about executive leadership first-hand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic planning
  • - Continue to refine Oculus's strategy and execution tactics
  • - Partner with leaders across the organization to set roadmaps and goals that align with this strategy
  • - Serve as a key contributor to management reviews, Facebook executive updates, leadership offsite presentations, and other strategic business materials
  • - Partner with leadership and Finance on high-impact projects, including developing a long-range plan and pushing the team to make tough prioritization decisions
  • Cross-functional execution
  • - Build and maintain strong relationships to identify opportunities for actionable results across the organization
  • - Establish new and scalable business processes that maximize organizational efficiency
  • - Monitor progress of key initiatives and projects, jumping in to move things forward whenever necessary while contributing positively to the team's execution-focused culture
  • - Deep dive into areas as necessary, surfacing insights and identifying opportunities for Oculus to improve execution
  • Executive communication
  • - Maintain highly confidential information and act as a liaison between the Oculus leadership team and other key stakeholders
  • - Work closely with Communications, HR, and other cross-functional leaders to ensure consistent and transparent communication across Oculus
  • - Partner with Communication, Product, and Business Development teams to develop consumer and partner-facing materials, including keynotes for high-profile launch events
  • - Work behind the scenes to solve problems and resolve issues before they escalate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of experience in technology and/or management consulting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Naturally inquisitive and proactive with a bias for action
  • A balanced strategic and tactical approach with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate demands of shifting priorities
  • Proven initiative and creativity, yet organized, structured work style
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
