Advanced Data Manager, FCS

We're looking for analytics leaders to support the ever-growing real estate planning and operations. The perfect candidate will have a strong background in analytics, data science or related field, will have experience working with large data sets, and provide clear action-oriented communication. You should be responsible for the holistic programming of predicative and prescriptive analytics models and translating data insight to impact. You are focused on results, a self-started, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to tell a story. You have an ability to clearly identify the requirements that drive business analysis and technical needs. This position can be located in Menlo Park, New York or Seattle.

ADVANCED DATA MANAGER, FCS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to build analytical models.
  • Drive data exploration to identify opportunities, understand the behavior of the internal Facebook community, and provide actionable insights.
  • Harvest massive amount of data from connected devices on IOT platform. Architect data structure to support smart campus initiatives.
  • Program data tools or products to enable direct user interaction with the data sets and create scenarios for decision making.
  • Run predictive analytics using a vast and varying data sources to display future trends.
  • Develop prescriptive models to recommend actions and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to unravel complex problems by clearly formulating the problem statements and technical requirements, displaying the results, and building scalable analytical products.
  • Build, manage and mentor the advance analytics team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • MS or PHD in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years experience doing quantitative analytics products
  • Coding with Python or Java with knowledge of object oriented programming and algorithm fundamental
  • Experience in machine learning or statistical analysis with foundation in probability
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis of experimental and observational data
  • Experience in managing and analyzing large-scale data sets using R or Python
  • Knowledge in SQL (Oracle, Hive, Presto, MySQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Tableau, excel and other analytical applications
  • Experience in translating data insight at holistic and strategic level
  • Experience in managing and leading data science team
  • Interpersonal and communication experience
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Understanding of real estate, facility planning and operations, transportation operations
  • Experience with full stack development and open source streaming technology
