As a 3D artist at Facebook, you’ll be working with a talented group of industry professionals to build world-class creative with cutting-edge technologies for AR (augmented reality) on mobile environments. Responsibilities

  • 3D modeling and animation
  • Partner with the other creative team members to deliver high- and low-poly 3D models for mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
  • Assist in creating high quality 3D and 2D art content for internal prototypes
  • Work with product design and machine learning teams to develop visuals for in-app experiences
  • Create textures in various styles, from cartoon to photorealism

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience shipping games (mobile, console, or PC) or other relevant work experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating acumen in 3D, realtime, and 2D concept (high- and low-poly models across various settings)
  • Strong modeling and texturing skills using Maya or other 3D art package
  • Experience with Unity 3D and/or Unreal game engines
  • Knowledge of poly count in mobile apps + experience creating mobile optimized art
  • Creative and design oriented, excellent communicator, good with teamwork
  • Familiarity with pipeline issues and a real-time production environment
  • Expertise in general compositing principles
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility, good use of color, ability to work in a range of styles
  • Experience working both with and without concept art references
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated problem solver
