Position Summary

This is a regional India sub-continent position based in Hyderabad, India.

Responsibilities

  • Taxation- Withholding taxes
    • Responsible for calculation and accurately withholding taxes and accounting tax entries like TDS, provision for tax, advance tax, and statutory tax for all India and Bangladesh entity.
    • Payment and deposit of taxes correctly as per Income tax Act
    • Responsible for preparation, review & filing of quarterly withholding tax returns for 24Q, 26Q, 27Q within due dates
    • Preparation of corrective withholding tax returns and submitting reply to Income tax authorities
    • Preparation of dissemination of quarterly TDS certificate to vendors
    • Preparation and submission of revised withholding tax returns and submitting reply to Income tax authorities
    • Preparation and review of monthly MIS compliance calendar
  • Taxation- SEZ
    • Responsible for accounting tax entries like on cutoms duty, Imports for all India entity.
    • Responsible for preparation, review & filing of tax returns for SERF, SOFTEX, MPR and APR.
    • Clearance of outstanding Bill of Entry and foreign remittance with banker
    • Responsible for compliance of SEZ tax on monthly basis within due dates
  • Taxation- GST
    • Responsible for accounting tax entries like, provision for tax, advance tax, GST and statutory tax for all India and Bangladesh entity.
    • Responsible for preparation, review & filing of tax returns for GST GSTR1, GSTR2, GSTR3 and closing of annual GST audit and returns
    • Responsible for preparation, review & filing of GST refunds within due dates
    • Responsible for compliance of tax on monthly basis within due dates
  • Taxation- Payroll
    • Responsible for clarification of query raised by employees on timely manner
    • Coordination with ADP vendor on payroll query and building the act as a mediator between employee and Payroll team for all India and Bangladesh entity.
    • Responsible for compliance of employee related tax like PF, Gratuity, ESI on monthly basis within due dates.


  • Accounting
    • Responsible for closure of month end activity on accruals, GL review, forex and closure of books for India sub-continent countries, including India and Bangladesh
    • Preparation of financials statements including Cashflow and schedules as per companies Act
    • Responsible for preparation, review & posting of accrual journals including Interco , allocation, IFRS entries
    • Responsible for closing books on monthly basis within due dates
    • Ensure adherence to local & US GAAP as well as local tax statutory laws including but not limited to GST/VAT and withholding tax (TDS)
    • Responsible for accounting system reconciliation for AP and Expense
    • Cash flow projection, transfer and related banking matters
    • Liaison with auditors, banks and accounting service providers where applicable
  • Business Partnership
    • Liaison with all levels/departments, including US Corporate office
    • Support management reporting and analysis process
  • Working knowledge
    • Hands on experience in Oracle, booking of invoices, closing of books and generating reports
  • Others
    • Responsible for improving process efficiency, including but not limited to the use of robotics / automation technology
    • Support India Finance Manager in special projects
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Coordination with tax consultant, Government authorities, bankers


Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
  • Professional qualification from ICAI (CA Inter), in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience in SEZ IT companies
  • Good technical knowledge in tax and accounting, including but not limited to regional India sub-continent countries' statutory tax requirements
  • Good operational knowledge in robotics / automation technology, including implementation and ongoing operation
  • Computer proficient - Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Oracle, PowerPoint), including strong Excel skills
  • Good organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Positive and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and employees
  • Ability to work independently and within a team


Language Requirements
  • Proficient in English
  • Multiple language skills are a plus


Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (early mornings, evenings and weekends).
