Position summary
F5 Access & Networks Security Business owns some of the fastest growing of the company's products. As a key driver of F5's future growth, Access & security is a key area of strategic interest for F5. You will join the new leadership of the Access & system engineering team in India and driving the growth.
Primary responsibilities
• Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
• Develop, motivate, empower, and evaluate individual contributors and grow their professional, leadership, and technical skills
• Provide thought leadership for the development of Access and System engineering business agenda.
• Grow the Access, Security & Systems Engineering team in India, through internal and external hiring.
• Establish relationships with key partners across Global delivery organization.
• Deliver the right security products to F5's market on time and on target.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
• Extensive knowledge of network and security technologies including TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, HTTP/2, UDP and DNS
• Solid understanding of all aspects of systems engineering & Security
• Proven working experience within a SAFe or Agile methodology and utilizing agile practices.
• Deliver the right security products to F5's market on time and on target.
• Deep understanding of Security Concepts
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical content to engineers, customers, and executive leadership
• Strong teamwork and ability to lead through effective management and motivation of direct reports and extended team
• Duties may require the ability to travel.
• Exposure to VMware, OpenStack, Docker and Kubernetes or similar a plus.
Qualifications
• MS or BS degree in CS, EE, or equivalent with minimum 15+ years' experience; or equivalent experience required, MBA a plus.
• 15 plus years' experience in systems / security product development
• 10+ years of people management experience with shown ability to make sound decisions, deliver on commitments, handle multiple competing priorities, and efficiently work with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams. Experience providing technical leadership and architectural mentorship to teams working on complex software projects
