HR Business Partner

You will work with our leaders across 2 Regions within EMEA to design and implement the F5 People plan in order to attract, retain and motivate our key talent. The role will require consistent execution of people policies and the business area will be reliant upon your support in many operational areas. You will be the business partner for a number of senior leaders and operate at 'trusted advisor' level. A strong commercial understanding of the business will be required. It will be essential that you deliver our full spectrum of HR programs and services and work with business leaders on workforce planning and talent strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Business support
    • Successfully establish and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with employees and all levels of management
    • Work in partnership with senior management to recommend, develop and implement programs that address key people resource issues, including diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, employee and manager development, employee engagement, performance management, organizational design and effectiveness, workforce planning, succession planning and change management.
    • Coach managers on effective leadership strategies including tactical HR processes as well as interventions involving leadership development and change management.
    • Help maintain a high-performance culture by coaching leadership teams to improve their effectiveness.
    • Partner with HR specialists to conduct ongoing job analyses as needed to align with compensation leveling plans and guidelines
    • Collaborate with the corporate Talent Team to facilitate access to learning resources and to training delivery for managers and employees
    • Address complex employee relations cases and provide oversight to HR Adviser in handling of less complex issues, ensuring compliance with applicable local laws
    • Advise managers and employees on complex performance issues providing solid guidance on legal and regulatory trends in order to effectively counsel leaders and reduce potential business liabilities.
    • Track and report on people related issues; identify and report trends
    • Maintain understanding of, and ensure organizational compliance with, applicable country employment laws
    • Partner with EMEA HR Operations Team to review and ensure alignment of policies and procedures to support Sales business goals and provide input into continual HR process improvement.


  • Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Is accountable for one area of specialism, (culture, Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion etc) for EMEA. This will require working with HRBP colleagues in the US and EMEA to design .

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a combined operational and strategic workload
  • Demonstrated experience of working internationally with specific experience of France including Profit Sharing, Employee Elections and DUP engagement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively coach employees and leaders to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and present in varying settings from business reviews to employee training
  • Commercial, project and change management skills and experience
  • Ability to understand business strategies and recommend HR programs that align with the business
  • Ability to challenge, question, inspire, influence and energise others while remaining sensitive to the needs of the business.
  • Experience working as an individual contributor as well as an active participant in team projects with global and local HR team members
  • Strong analytical and business writing skills
  • Confident and pragmatic, strong work ethic and a determination to succeed
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point


Qualifications
  • HR/Business related degree level education or equivalent
  • 8+ years' experience in progressively responsible leadership roles, preferably in a high-tech global environment
  • Sound and current knowledge of key employment jurisdictions in EMEA
  • Fluency in English and French essential, additional European language desirable


Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 30% of the time spent traveling.
