Briefing Manager - London EBC

Position Summary

The Briefing Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning and execution of the Customer Experience for customers and partners visiting the F5 London Briefing Center (http://www.f5.com/reviews/proof-of-concept/technology-center/). The successful candidate will be an energetic, self-starter who is comfortable working across all functions at every level from individual contributor to C-Level executives. In addition, they will be comfortable with responsibility and acting on their own initiative, thinking on their feet, be highly detail oriented and have excellent communication and people-skills.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working on a variety of customer-oriented visits, events, programs, and functions. Primarily this includes scoping and executing customer and partner visits to the Briefing Center. This requires working with local and cross-company subject matter experts and executives to formulate and deliver compelling visits agendas and great customer experience.

Plan Briefings and Events

  • Manage the incoming briefing and event requests and own scoping process to completion, working with everyone from local engineers to executives.
  • Work with technical teams and sales to scope out all aspects of the briefing/event.
  • Secure all F5 speakers for the briefings/events hosted by the Center.
  • Communicate all aspects of the briefing to speakers, attendees, customers, and related parties.


Ensure Flawless Execution
  • Day of briefing/event interaction with sales and customers, including responding to requests, facilitating the agenda flow, and executing necessary changes to ensure a fantastic customer experience.
  • Provide quality customer experience through management of arrival, special requests, gifts, departure, transportation and all other logistics.
  • Support larger scale events, workshops, user groups, and marketing events through event planning and logistics management.


Manage the Center Logistics
  • Ensure the center is appropriately stocked and kept to world class levels.
  • Manage local vendors and relationships responsible for all the center services.


Maintain and Grow the Briefing Program
  • Collaborate and build effective relationships with F5 EMEA sales and marketing teams to promote the briefing center with customers and to increase its utilization.
  • Maintain documentation of the EBC team's briefing procedures and operating practices to ensure the consistency of execution and quality of the customer/speaker experience across all briefing centers.
  • Contribute to the development of all aspects of the briefing program regarding Customer Experience.
  • Keep current on global EBC best practices of leading organizations and network with fellow professionals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on customer experience.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and event planning.
  • Knowledge of computers, internet and software applications including MS Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Self-starter and proactive approach in resolving problems and issues.
  • Able to handle a wide variety of administrative duties and project management tasks.
  • Ability to effectively develop effective relationships with internal and external customers, and F5 speakers.
  • Experience with Executive Briefing Centers preferred.


Qualifications:
  • A number of years of related experience in executive briefing center coordination, executive level coordination, or event planning.
  • Previous experience in customer service and customer experience is strongly preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.
