Job description

As a Business Data Analyst at Experian Consumer Services, you will play a key role in identifying, designing, and implementing fraud detection strategies to assess customer engagement and transaction risk. You will support our financial services products by investigating and resolving fraud-related issues efficiently, with a strong focus on process improvement and automation. We are seeking an individual with an analytical mindset, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to navigate a complex technical environment. You will report to the Vice President of Risk & Fraud Management.

  • Conduct customer and transactional fraud risk analysis, lead fraud-related projects, and oversee third-party vendor risk.
  • Review existing controls, analyze performance metrics, and validate risk strategies.
  • Collaborate across teams to conduct impact assessments and develop resolution plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in fraud prevention and maintain strategic partner relationships.
  • Support internal audits and due diligence activities.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience monitoring and analyzing financial transactions to identify patterns indicative of fraud, with preferred exposure to the eCommerce or banking sectors. Demonstrated proficiency in using industry-standard fraud detection tools, including those for behavioral biometrics, device intelligence, transaction risk assessment, and identity verification.
  • Working knowledge of industry best practices with a proven track record in fraud operations, risk reduction, process optimization, and enhancing customer experience with knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fraud and risk management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, including querying, extracting, and transforming large datasets for analysis.
  • Applied understanding of data visualization tools maintaining dashboards for operational oversight (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with workflow automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, Airflow).
  • Experience creating process documentation.
