Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Sitecore Software Engineer III will be integral to the design and development of software for Exact Sciences, utilizing Sitecore technology.  This engineer will focus on improving software design, collaborating with their peers and effectively communicating with other representatives of the business. This position requires a focus on writing great code and a strong understanding of the project and software development lifecycles.  This person must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams to deliver best in class software products to the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Sitecore platform-based webistes and solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of application development; including requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, and support.
  • Contribute to technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams, product owners, and vendors, on all aspects of software development.
  • Passion for researching new or emerging trends and technologies in the web application development space.

  • Ability and means to travel between Redwood City locations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other field related to the essential duties of the position; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience related to the essential duties of the position in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of development experience with building customer facing web applications and websites.
  • 3+ years of proficiency in web front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of solid experience with using Sitecore, including the Sitecore Experience Platform, Sitecore Experience Manager, Helix, and Solr to develop solutions or configuring and administrating Sitecore, as well as making version upgrades.
  • 2+ years of development experience with the .NET Framework.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of coding applications that support multiple languages/locales.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Responsive Web Design Frameworks.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Relational Databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of SOAP and RESTful web services. 
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation; No disqualifications for employment in the US lab industry as determined by the Federal Government.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sitecore Developer Certification.
  • Experience designing and developing apps that access and or utilize cloud-based frameworks (e.g., Azure, Heroku, Google App Engine, Amazon AWS Services/SDKs, etc.).
  • Experience with Akamai CDN.
  • Familiarity with Mobile app development for iOS or Android.
  • Experience with web and mobile accessibility standards.
  • Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
