Senior Corporate Trainer

Summary of Major Responsibilities

We know that providing employees with career development opportunities is a key driver of engagement. This position is primarily responsible for deploying leadership development programs and initiatives at Exact Sciences. The Senior Corporate Trainer will play a role in ensuring relevant and accessible development opportunities are available to our Madison-based and field-based people leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver highly interactive, engaging and impactful instructor-led and web-based/eLearning leadership development programs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of leadership programs for continuous improvement of content, structure, materials and delivery of solutions
  • Collaborate and partner in the design and development of new curriculum and initiatives designed to grow and develop people leaders in alignment with our talent strategies
  • Apply knowledge of adult learning, instructional design techniques, leadership development program design, and evaluation methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively connect with others; approachable & viewed as a responsive resource across the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to connect with and engage audiences
  • Ability to influence others, facilitate processes and coach/advise people leaders
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work normal schedule of Monday through Friday during normal business hours with occasionally evening or weekend workshops
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when lifting and transporting training materials
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods when training
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years of experience delivering leadership development programs, leadership cohorts, leadership forums, and/or facilitating experiential learning activities across a diverse audience
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development and/or Organizational Psychology
  • Situational Leadership Certified Trainer
  • Leadership development and/or professional credentials/certifications
  • Virtual training experience (AdobeConnect, WebEx)
  • Experience using technology in the classroom (iPads, VR goggles)
