Digital Project Manager, FinEd Product Development

EVERFI is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager, located in Washington DC to join our Financial Education Product team. This person is a proactive team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have experience with helping build software applications, process management, and experience interacting with multiple internal stakeholders and managing timelines.


Lead the production of the next generation of EVERFI’s digital learning products, working across Design, Development and Content to facilitate the creation of interactive courses and associated platform features. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure on time delivery of digital learning products to market
  • Gather and define all technical requirements and functional specifications
  • Help deliver and manage product roadmap and associated development phases
  • Work very closely with development, QA, user experience, curriculum, research, outside vendors and other product team members to execute the EVERFI product strategy
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and contributions to product builds happen successfully throughout the production phase
  • Prepare for and facilitate daily standups and biweekly sprint planning
  • Manage and plan future sprints (aligning organizational needs with product timelines and deliverable schedules)
  • Manage vendor relationships and associated product development budgets to insure product is delivered on time and on budget
  • Integrate Agile principles into team product development practices and Jira administration
  • Set sprint priorities and enforce sprint / Agile processes with product team, as well as manage and set expectations for mid-sprint requests from vertical leads
  • Create and analyze Jira reports, working to prioritize commitments and delivery expectations mid-sprint
  • Gather team feedback, organize retrospectives, and analyze metrics to identify areas of opportunity
  • Managing post launch debriefs as well as ongoing maintenance requests

Required Skills:

  • Leadership DNA, proven ability to excite and lead a product development team
  • 5+ years Agile experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming business requirements into a successful product plan
  • Ability to understand and communicate the needs of both designers and developers
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions
  • Bachelor’s degree and technical disciplines preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
  • Experience with Google Suite, SmartSheet, Slack and Jira preferred
