Regional Sales Manager - Western US

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver sales of CNL Software’s (An Everbridge Company) innovative software platform, IPSecurityCenter™ and associated services in the U.S.

Reporting to the VP, Global Sales – CNL, the Regional Sales Manager will operate in a collaborative, team focused environment with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Finance and others, always adhering to the company’s sales methodology, processes and procedures.

The role is responsible for driving CNL Software’s growth and expansion in the U.S. by reaching new customers and growing existing ones. This includes lead generation, as well as the marketing and selling of our advanced integration, visualization, and decision support software.

This is a hands-on, field-based individual contributor role, requiring frequent domestic travel in and around the U.S calling on prospective C-level enterprise clients and the specifiers and consultants they engage with for assistance. The main markets include financial services, technology, transportation, city surveillance, utilities, oil and gas, and large corporations. The Regional Sales Manager must be able to identify key security business issues and speak to our product value with both business executives and technical staff during the complete sales cycle.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for key markets.
  • Pursue strategic sales opportunities using market and industry knowledge.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their organizational needs, and providing thoughtful, comprehensive solutions that align with customer’s operational, financial, technical, and business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse customer audience and opportunity stakeholder community, including C-level executives and technical staff.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the full sales lifecycle, across multiple simultaneous sales opportunities, from initial contact through to deal close.
  • Team with Everbridge Strategic Account and Senior Account Executives to execute on joint sales processes to drive growth within the customer base.
  • Coordinate time effectively around pipeline generation, customer calls, request for proposal/quote, follow-up, and team enablement activities.
  • Accurately and consistently forecast expected sales.
  • Achieve assigned sales quota and license, support, and service revenue targets.
  • Use our established sales methodology, processes, and tools.
  • Maintain understanding of the integrated security/security management systems market, solution providers, and business issues associated with it.
  • Provide timely and insightful input back to other functional areas, particularly operations, product management, development, and marketing.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
  • 7-10 years of sales experience, preferably in the integrated security systems market or enterprise software.
  • A demonstrable record of new business generation in one or more of the financial services, technology, transportation, utilities, oil and gas, SLG or corporate markets.
  • Consultative selling skills with the ability to manage multiple and complex sales campaigns, simultaneously.
  • Strong learner and capable of coming up to speed quickly on our software technology.
  • Ability to present complex technical and business concepts to all levels of an organization and across the opportunity stakeholder community.
  • Record of establishing and building successful C-level relationships.
  • History of strong sales achievements as a top performer meeting and exceeding assigned quota.
  • Record of qualifying opportunities and assessing prospect value.
  • Success in effectively managing the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to deal close.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational/time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Be self-directed, self-motivated, and results oriented.
  • Have high levels of energy, drive, credibility, respect, and confidence.
  • Current knowledge/past use of Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Reside close to an Everbridge office or hub/large airport.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Security industry.
  • Understanding of MEDDPICC Sales Methodology.
  • Management, Team Lead, or Overlay/SME Experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Creative capability to deploy business consulting as a lever for software license sales.
  • Will have worked in a successful early stage software/IT business.ess
