Analyst, Revenue Projection & Marketplace Economics

From music festivals, marathons, conferences, hackathons, air guitar contests, political rallies, fundraisers, gaming competitions...we have it all!

Behind this world's largest event technology platform, are huge amount of data, both behavioral and financial. Our product portfolio keeps growing and innovating. We are rapidly expanding into new international markets. Given our growth, our business has become more complex and dynamic.  

Our Finance team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity and accurately predict our revenue over the near-term and long-term and dynamically adjust our forecasts as new data presents itself.  Our goal is to provide our leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented analysis for decision-making.  The successful candidate will be analytical, technically savvy, detail oriented, and a financial modeling whiz.

THE TEAM
The Financial Planning & Analysis crew works closely with the Analytics teams to inform and influence decision making through timely, accurate, and insightful forecasting.  We are a technical, fast-moving team who gives structure to complicated issues, immerse ourselves in data collection, and delivers impactful insights and recommendations. YOU WILL

  • Partner with our FP&A team and functional business leaders to understand and analyze key business drivers and marketplace economics 
  • Develop a comprehensive revenue projection and forecasting methodology and model
  • Drive toward automation of the revenue projection and forecasting processes to improve accuracy and timeliness 
  • Support the annual budgeting and planning process, the long-range strategic planning process, as well as the monthly/ quarterly re-forecast with a focus on revenue
  • Provide insight into weekly, monthly and quarterly  financial reports with senior management
  • Provide guidance to other analysts in their creation of forecasts, operational, financial, and statistical models
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis for key company initiatives 

THE SKILL SET

  • B.S. or M.S. in quantitative field (Economics, Math, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or similar discipline)
  • 4-6 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Comfort and experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data
  • Proficient in programming or scripting languages such as R, and Python
  • Statistical modeling experience (e.g. forecasting), knowledge of times series analysis, Monte Carlo, simulation, scenario analysis, ability to work with large data sets, and strong ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • You love to dissect complex problems and articulate your solutions through structured thinking, especially under pressure
  • Ability to design, lead and execute analysis
  • Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal

  • Experience solving complicated finance and economic problems with proven application 
  • Ability to work autonomously, with limited oversight on day-to-day basis. This role is intended for somebody with initiative and a deep sense of ownership that takes responsibility for shaping and executing upon our strategy
