Analyst, Predictive Analytics Revenue

THE CHALLENGE
There are exciting things going on behind the scenes at Eventbrite.  Our product portfolio is growing and we are rapidly expanding into new international markets. Given our growth, our business has become more complex and dynamic.  Our FP&A Revenue team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity and accurately predict our revenue over the near-term and long-term and dynamically adjust our forecasts as new data presents itself.  Our goal is to provide our leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented analysis for decision-making.  The successful candidate will be analytical, technically savvy, detail oriented, and a financial modeling whiz.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Revenue crew works closely with the Analytics teams to inform and influence decision making through timely, accurate, and insightful forecasting.  We are a technical, fast-moving team who gives structure to complicated issues, immerse ourselves in data collection, and delivers impactful insights and recommendations. YOU WILL

  • Partner with our Senior Manager, FP&A Revenue and functional business leaders to drive profitability and efficiency
  • Improve the forecasting inputs constantly in order to increase forecast accuracy and timeliness
  • Drive toward more automation of forecasting processes in order to obtain faster turnaround times
  • Provide guidance to other analysts in their creation of forecasts, operational, financial, and statistical models
  • Support the annual budgeting and planning process, the long-range strategic planning process, as well as the monthly/ quarterly re-forecast with a focus on revenue
  • Assist in the preparation, distribution and review of weekly, monthly and quarterly  financial reports with senior management
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis for various ad-hoc financial projects
  • Improve the forecasting inputs constantly in order to increase forecast accuracy and timeliness

THE SKILL SET

  • 4-6 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Comfort and experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data, or with other programming or scripting languages such as R, and Python
  • Statistical modeling experience (e.g. forecasting), knowledge of times series analysis, Monte Carlo, simulation, scenario analysis, ability to work with large data sets, and strong ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills

BONUS POINTS

  • Comfort with more complex revenue projection models
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related or quantitative technical field (Statistics, Engineering, Math, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Strong analytical experience in customer support, investment banking, consulting, or equivalent
  • Proficient in R, SQL, Python
  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
