Project Assistant- Legal

TRADE is looking for a Project Assistant to join the Legal Team. This position is vast in responsibility and scope and involves, among other things, providing direct administrative assistance to the Chief of Staff, as well as providing various administrative support for the Arlington Legal Team. This position provides an opportunity to interface with high level executives, such as the General Counsel, and has amazing growth potential for the right person interested in building a career in Legal Operations. The right candidate will be enthusiastic, eager to learn new applications and software, collegial, steady under pressure, an excellent proofreader and a team player.

Provide administrative support to Chief of Staff, such as: (i) administrative meeting prep; (ii) maintenance of the Legal calendar; (iii) organization of departmental materials including management of electronic and paper documents; and (iv) quarterly and annual event planning
Provide administrative assistance to the Corporate Legal Team for the quarterly Board of Directors meetings
Execute administrative work requests submitted by attorneys as needed
Schedule video conferences for departmental meetings in multiple locations across the country and additional services (catering, car service, etc.)
Generate elegant PowerPoint slides and useful Excel charts from written or verbal instruction
Basic word processing to include formatting, editing, and revising documents




BA Required
Minimum of 4 years of administrative/ executive assistant experience (previous law firm or in-house experience a plus


Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate easily to senior level and C-suite management
Excellent proofreading skills
High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (in particular, Excel and PowerPoint), knowledge of Visio
Experience in managing calendars and schedules
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, and adapt to change
Leadership and interpersonal experience with a proven track record of building relationships
Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team
Ability to work extended hours if needed
Ability to engage in strategic thinking, considers next steps, innovative problem solving, and finding client-focused solutions
Excellent writing, planning, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
Flexible and open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods accordingly
Punctuality; ability to be onsite and available during standard business hours
Grasps the essence of new information; recognizes own strengths and weaknesses; pursues self-development; seeks feedback
Treats colleagues and partners with respect: considers and responds appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of different people
