Active Trader Consultant

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, top performing Active Trader Consultant. The Active Trader Consultant is responsible for new account acquisition by educating prospective clients on our full suite of products and value proposition, and effectively onboarding them onto the E
TRADE platform. In addition to closing the initial sale, the Sales Consultant will also assume responsibilities for relationship development with new clients, with a goal of increasing asset migration and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, top performing Active Trader Consultant. The Active Trader Consultant is responsible for new account acquisition by educating prospective clients on our full suite of products and value proposition, and effectively onboarding them onto the ETRADE platform. In addition to closing the initial sale, the Sales Consultant will also assume responsibilities for relationship development with new clients, with a goal of increasing asset migration and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary focus will be to make outbound sales calls on marketing leads, referrals from our customer support team and contacts from webinars and live events
  • Manage relationship with new clients, serve as a point of contact to help onboard and educate prospects on our value proposition
  • Partner with customer service, marketing, product and operations to provide an optimal customer experience
  • Facilitate Active Trader appointments with clients providing advanced strategy, tools and platform education directly connected to referrals from Service, Sales and Platinum representatives
  • Provide education to clients aligning their trading strategies and outlook on the market with risk management needs including the use of margin, options, and portfolio margin accounts as appropriate
  • Attend and support Investor Education day events, Trading Webinars, Money Shows and Expos with a goal to drive 1:1 client appointments and impact acquisition and retention of Active Trader clients


REQUIREMENTS

Basic
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial services experience, preferably in sales
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a client facing role in the brokerage industry
  • Series 7 and 63 required, Series 3 within 90 days of hire
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience

Preferred
  • Conversational Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaker highly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of equity and option markets. Futures experience a plus
  • Experience with a CRM software is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Ability to travel 10%
