Overview
Creating great applications is one thing, but getting them installed, tested, and working perfectly for customers is another. This position requires persistence, curiosity, and continuous learning. Our team is always pursuing optimal ways to design and implement complex software install logic for the world's leading Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. Leverage your knowledge of setup authoring to participate in the authoring, design, quality, and maintenance of setup programs. Bring your knowledge and experience in Windows Installer MSI authoring and a thorough understanding of Windows Installer development and we'll have you writing custom code and tackling challenges on a consistent basis. You'll be interfacing with developers, Tech Support personnel, and product managers to develop and maintain setup programs for client and server environments.

Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain application patch setup programs
- Research patch installer technology and advancements in the patch setup industry
- Collaborate with key users and the technical support team on patch installation issues
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with authoring application patch setups using Wise Installation Studio or other patch authoring tools
- Experience with and working knowledge of Windows Installer SDK tools, including Orca
- Working knowledge of Windows Installer MSP files, install behavior, and relevant MSI database structures
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve patch setup installation and uninstallation issues
- Familiarity with Windows OS in particular services, registry, and directory structures
- Bachelor's in computer science, or a related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800 - $124,800
