Senior Front End Engineer

Overview

Are you front-end engineer with a passion for building great developer experiences using modern JavaScript development patterns? Are you interested in developer technologies with a focus on location, geography, maps, or GIS? Do you want to work for the global leader in GIS and have a direct impact helping developers address climate change, disaster response, biodiversity, smart cities, and much more? Apply your skills to help us evolve Esri's developer-focused products and services. We are building a killer user experience targeted to today’s developer using open source and Esri’s APIs and SDKs. In this position, you will work on a team with other passionate developers to improve our developer experience and help developers around the world best apply Esri tech.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience using the Angular and/or React frameworks for front-end development projects
  • 3+ years of industry experience with the design and development of frameworks, libraries, web application software development, and technical documentation
  • Ability to learn and leverage new tools and frameworks and improve programming skills
  • Be a self-starter and able to tackle open-ended problems
  • Proficient with CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
  • Experience with git, GitHub, node.js and npm
  • Knowledge of web visualization, user interface, and user experience development
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed
  • Ability to collaborate across teams
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, or a related field, depending on position level
