QA Engineer – ArcGIS Insights

Advance the capabilities of ArcGIS Insights, web-based data analytics made for advanced location intelligence and used to explore spatial analytical problems. It gives our users the power to answer questions they didn’t know to ask, analyze their data completely, and tell powerful data stories.
The location analytics team is looking to grow the existing, passionate team that is based in Redlands, California and Ottawa, Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to use your talent, expertise, and passion for problem solving to ensure we deliver software that fulfills the needs of data analysts and scientists with cutting-edge analytical software.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for software quality and should be able to define and drive QA best practices and work with partner teams to push quality upstream. You will be working closely with developers and product engineers and be responsible for creating and executing test plans used to ensure high levels of quality of a full-stack application, across desktop, web, and mobile deployments.
- 1+ years of experience with Python
- Experience or knowledge of testing techniques such as UI testing, automated testing, test driven development strategies
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) models
- Some knowledge of Java and shell (Windows and Linux) scripting
- Basic knowledge of an RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, GIS, data science, environmental science, or related field, depending on position level
