Marketing Web Development Manager

  • Architect and implement development strategies across the web enterprise
  • Architect and implement build processes, development life cycles, and release cycles
  • Lead the implementation of enterprise systems and technologies to meet user expectations and business objectives
  • Lead the web globalization initiative by developing Esri's web system to be global friendly
  • Lead strategies and process for front end development, full stack development, and back-end programming
  • Execute Esri’s web strategy based on an understanding of personas and their needs
  • Make key decisions which may have broad and significant impact without detailed direction from higher level management
  • Drive adoption of modern development strategies, processes, and methods
  • Set and maintain priorities in a multi-project environment
  • Manage three cross-functional development teams in the creation and support of Esri’s web enterprise


  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of web or software development management experience in leading full life cycle development
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous web development experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Enterprise systems experience
  • A passion for people management and mentorship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s in software/web development or computer science, or equivalent work experience

  • Analyzing application and user metrics to define team strategy
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or Ruby
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals
  • Expertise in delivering high-quality, innovative applications
