Welder

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weld structural steel with wire feed welding process;
  • Measure, layout and fabricate structural steel components; Ensure structural steel meets specifications
  • Operate metal saws, punches, shears, and overhead cranes, and airless paint sprayer
  • Cut and straighten steel with oxy-fuel cutting torch;
  • Provide maintenence of equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Read and use a tape measure;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications and/or Licenses: Welding certification, preferred

Relevant Experience & Training:

  • Knowledge of D1.1 welding code requirements
  • General knowledge and understanding of welding theory and practices
  • Experience in rough carpentry, preferred but not required
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic math,angles arcs andthe ability to add and subtract fractions
  • Understanding and compliance of all company safety rules

  • Frequent lifting 0-30lbs at medium pace rate, 33% - 65%
