Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work within the Consumer Technology division to oversee all aspects of DevOps/ProductOps
  • Own the product and release cycles, developing and contributing to the process and tools
  • Configure and maintain monitoring and alerts
  • Own development, release, and CI/CD tools, such as Bitbucket and Jenkins
  • Own and maintain playbook for support purposes
  • Own and evangelize escalation and support procedures
  • Partner with infrastructure and security teams to make sure we're compliant and up to date
  • Develop and maintain appropriate benchmarks for load testing and performance optimization
  • Weigh in, educate, and be the advocate for scalable and maintainable architectural decisions
  • Build and maintain relevant architectural diagrams and DevOps dashboards

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • 5-7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer
  • 3+ years in a senior position, running systems in a large-scale AWS environment
  • Expertise in all things AWS (ECS, Cloudformation, RDS)
  • Experience auto-scaling Docker in ECS
  • Development and management of a CI/CD environment using Jenkins
  • Strong understanding of cache configuration (Redis and CDN)
  • A philosophical approach to automate yourself out of any manual efforts
  • Experience profiling and optimizing application and database performance
  • Comfortable working within a micro-service environment
  • Experience programming in Python, Java, and/or .NET
  • Developed and executed plans and testing of DR
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability


PREFERRED
  • The ability to build strong relationships across teams
  • Experience with mobile as well as IoT applications
  • Practical experience with ELK logging configuration
  • Familiarity with Atlassian's suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Experience putting together operational budgets and projections
  • A proponent of TDD and automation engineered testing
  • Familiarity with Websphere
  • Experience partnering with both on and off-shore teams
  • A passion for technology, fitness, and/or healthy lifestyles
