Vice President, Product Marketing

What's the role?
Build a department clearly focused on accelerating go-to-market clarity to further drive sales team confidence and revenue upside. This is a key leadership role reporting into the Head of Marketing for Epsilon and Conversant.

Strategic Value of Role

  • Build a high caliber product marketing team and direct a shift from an 'inside-out' approach to 'outside-in' way of thinking and doing.
  • Bringing the product, sales and marketing teams together around our customers: Interpret product capabilities, market insights and market intelligence to provide stakeholders with a voice of the customer and the appropriate company solutions that best fit these needs
  • Communicating a market position: Defining the required product positioning and messaging that is differentiated, defensible, clear, drives action and leverageable by sales and marketing.
  • Product Launch: Leading the prelaunch preparation by ensuring early and consistent involvement of product, marketing teams, sales, channel partners and customer success teams while driving launch to market success.
  • Arming sales with knowledge and tools: Ensuring content, sales tools and training regarding the intersection of products with buyers, markets, customers and competitors helps drive sales success

What You'll Be Responsible for at Epsilon and Conversant
  • Build - You'll have the opportunity to build a department and strategic plan from the ground up
  • Evolve - Translate the product vision and strategy into solution positioning and value messaging for the entire portfolio from an 'outside in' perspective
  • Leadership -- Build a cross-organization team; manage, hire, direct & mentor a team of product marketers to evolve the department role, focus and success metrics
  • Cross-Practice & Product Partnership - Develop, build and maintain ongoing strategic communication partnerships across product and sales teams within Epsilon Tech, Data, Auto and Conversant practice areas
  • Website - Best-in-Class reinvention and implementation of an 'outside in' approach to the Epsilon and Conversant websites
  • Strategy - Develop a thorough understanding of the market and client/consumer needs, and ability to develop a product (or solution) strategy and roadmap to achieve goals
  • Competitive Intel - Guide a thorough understanding of competitive products, pricing, packaging and strategy; Utilize market, competitive, consumer, and customer research to shape how solutions are positioned in the marketplace
  • Lead the development of go-to-market plans - Guide market and competitive analysis, strategy, customer segmentation, product positioning, naming conventions, value propositions, and lifecycle marketing programs
  • Lead cross-functional teams (across Product, Sales, PR / Comms, Brand, Demand Gen, Content, etc.) to amplify go-to-market efforts and support ongoing product adoption
  • Build an evolved approach to the company's sales enablement strategy; collaborate with sales training on ongoing education and engagement across the field that results in customer retention and revenue growth
