As Epsilon's Vice President of SaaS Operations, you will be a key part of our leadership team and your responsibility will be to manage all aspects of Epsilon's SaaS Services across our Agility platforms including Email, Loyalty, and CRM . This responsibility will include managing the design, install, monitoring and uptime of our marketing technology applications. It includes partnering to lead a DevOps culture to provide high quality, continuous operations, and ongoing support ensuring the applications meet critical service level objectives, customer requirements and company financial objectives. This role will report in to the Senior Vice President of Product.
Principal Responsibilities:
•Partner with the product teams to define and implement the infrastructure necessary to meet the service level and cost objectives required by the applications. Infrastructure environments may be cloud based or hosted in our own data centers
•Partner with the product teams to define and implement an overall strategy for application operations using DevOps principles and support to ensure scalability, fast delivery, provide reliable services and cost-effective operations.
•Define and implement an overall strategy for application infrastructure optimization, performance and capacity.
•Implement an overall system monitoring plan that enables engineering, support and client teams to be alerted to issues, trends or other anomalies in the operation of our systems.
•Ensure that system SLAs are well-known, documented and continuously monitored
•Ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly system maintenance activities (backups, log file maintenance, security patches, etc) are completed within acceptable windows.
•Supervise service providers to meet the day-to-day requirements and also react properly in the event of issues.
•Implement a process methodology that provides predictable operational framework (DevOps + ITIL _ SOC 2) ensuring that operational activities are managed promptly, with repeatability; driving towards a highly scalable operational model.
•Establish and maintain good communication with support, engineering and business partners in order to facilitate and optimize productivity through proper use and support of systems.
•Partner with our security teams to enforce the security of the environments.
•Provide proactive capacity and performance management recommendations for improvements to ensure there are enough resources to grow with business demand while constantly looking to improve the efficiency of the hardware and personnel resources.
•Implementation and enforce IT policies and procedures within the scope of enterprise application support and change management in the production environment
•Maintain application inventory & documentation for all supported systems for asset management.
•Lead the daily administration and troubleshooting of system and application issues. Provide support for client communications.
•Assist with disaster recovery planning & testing
•Provide reports on systems performance, capacity, forecasting usage to assist in planning for future application requirements and purchases.
•Assist with evaluations, feasibility studies, testing and recommendation of competing and alternative solutions which may assist the company in reaching its business objectives efficiently
•Be on call 24x7

Experience and Requirements:
•10+ years infrastructure and applications operations experience (design and operations) primarily with the following technologies:
•All aspects of AWS services
•Linux, Windows, databases, big data environments, Java run time environments, amongst other applications technologies
•Networking including DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
•Web and application infrastructure
•Experience designing and developing highly scalable SaaS platforms that require 100% uptime.
•Experience managing client issues and communications during incidents
•Ability to implement a secure operation function according to IT standards, industry best practices and procedures (such as DevOps, ITIL, and SOC 2)
•Proven ability to manage problems: troubleshoot and resolve OS, software and network problems; dig to root cause; manage issues during a crisis
•Proficient, analytical, decisive and organized thinker and planner
•Excellent human relations, communication, organization and team building skills.
•Detailed record keeping ability
•Ability to manage many projects and priorities at the same time
•BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree
