Vice President, Group Delivery Leader

The Vice President, Group Delivery Lead will own Solution Delivery Excellence for multiple client engagements involving one or more Epsilon technology platforms to enable omni-channel, digital and 1:1 marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in engagements involving implementation and integration of Epsilon products into the mar-tech ecosystem at Clients as well as engagements involving ongoing support of solutions and value added service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits: a unique blend of technology chops, business acumen and delivery leadership savvy; ability to team with Client Services leaders at Epsilon to craft a big picture vision and roadmap to achieve marketing outcomes; has delivery know-how to make the vision a reality; and stays close to trends in technology and consumer behavior.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and operational excellence for multiple marketing technology platform accounts
  • Collaborates and Drives consensus at senior levels within various Epsilon teams - Product, Solution Architecture, Sales, Client Services and Systems Engineering
  • Ensures delivery teams:
    • Are staffed at the right levels with the right roles/talent to deliver value for our clients
    • Are paying attention to what they need to focus on in order to deliver with excellence for the client
  • Plays a Senior Technology Advisor role - ability to understand the client's Martech and Digital ecosystem and position the role and merits of the Epsilon platform vis-à-vis other solutions at the client.
  • Uses a client-focused consultative approach to selling and delivery
  • Proactive mindset, identifying, mitigating, and ultimately avoiding risks related to client service delivery and talent retention
  • Leads from the front to address high criticality Client escalations
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to client and internal teams around delivery quality/efficiency, solution optimization, and process improvement
  • Nurtures VP and above relationships within the Client's Technology organization
  • Challenges account delivery leaders to continuously improve the areas of delivery quality, operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and client satisfaction
  • Grows their account level delivery leaders
  • Fosters an environment where people are motivated to perform
  • Serves as an internal and external escalation point for delivery related issues
  • Creates visibility into challenges and escalates to upper management as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Epsilon controls and program office procedures
  • Provides solution delivery support on new and incremental sales opportunities - support includes estimation, solution design and positioning, execution approach and content inputs
  • Understands the marketing technology industry/landscape and can speak at the logical level to Epsilon's products & service value proposition relative to that landscape
  • Maintains a current understanding of Epsilon Product capabilities and solution architecture
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
Required Experience:
  • 10-15 years of end-to-end systems implementation/integration experience
  • Strong experience with globally distributed delivery teams and processes
  • Strong Experience in Marketing Technology or Customer Engagement Platforms: CRM/CDI/CDP, Loyalty Solutions, Digital Solutions
  • Experience in successfully managing 3 or more medium to large engagements in parallel
  • Experience in 24/7 operations for customer-facing high transaction solutions
  • Experience leading key initiatives against strict timeline and multiple priorities
  • Strong Program Management skills - deep understanding of planning, executing, tracking and retrospective analysis
  • Experience in helping grow the engagement footprint
  • Should have services and/or consulting experience
  • Should have significant experience in leading and growing people, and building high performance teams
  • Strong knowledge in agile based delivery methodologies
  • Proven experience in solutions that have both real-time and complex batch based integrations
  • Strong Experience on engagements using Web Technologies (Web Services, SOAP, Spring, .NET, J2EE, JSON etc.)
  • Experience with leading data solutions (Oracle, IBM, Redshift etc.)
Required Attributes:
  • Has Executive Presence and ability to tailor and steer difficult conversations at various levels
  • Experience playing lead Facilitator role in current state and target state/north star solution conversations in a Client setting
  • Experience managing client expectations; strategic thinker that constantly challenges clients and teams to improve
  • Demonstrate ability to apply judgement and make decisions autonomously where there might not be a prior precedent
  • Demonstrate the ability to drive vision and results, ensure accountability, manage complexity and situational adaptability
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Understands P&L, Margin concepts and how/when/where to apply
Preferred Experience:
  • BS or Masters in Computer Science or other Technical disciplines is strongly desired
  • Retail Industry Experience is strongly desired
  • Experience preferred in one or more of the following tools & platforms:
    • Digital Marketing: Content Management, Ecommerce, Email, Mobile, Digital Marketing Platforms, Campaign Solutions
    • Analytics: Machine Learning and Web Analytics
  • Experience in Dev-ops delivery models
  • Experience in Cloud-hosted solutions
