Qualifications & Responsibilities

As a company driven by making customer connections, Epsilon's social media team delivers the voice, content and performance reporting for some of the team's most important project efforts. The Social Media Specialist I role provides the voice for a brand's social channels and is responsible for implementing new social media campaigns. The Social Media Specialist I must understand the sensitive world of social media and the risk associated with being the social voice of a brand. In this role, you will be researching and developing editorial calendars for multiple brands which includes deep research within the brand's consumer mindset and writing copy. This role will also require posting on behalf of the brand and monitoring conversations on the brand's owned social media channels for appropriate responses. Non-traditional work hours may be requested, for example, checking social media channels during the weekends.


  • Community Management Support:
    • Support team efforts in the deployment of social media campaigns and engagement.
    • Maintain current on important social channel updates and changes which may affect program execution.
    • Understand the core and secondary audiences of brands he/she is activating on through research and study
    • Research topics important to brand's audience.
    • Development editorial content for social channels that include Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Snap.
    • Learning and using Content Management System such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite to schedule brand content for clients.
    • Daily monitoring and listening of social conversations mentioning brand, competitors and news which may impact program execution.
    • Support of customer care needs of clients which may include responding to customer questions and coordinating with clients on responses.
    • Weekly, monthly and reporting on social engagement and KPIs.
  • Influencer Outreach:
    • Research of bloggers and social influencers relevant to brand's audience.
    • Development of blogger outreach messaging.
    • Building relationships with bloggers and social influencers.
    • Developing blogger briefs and contracts for influencers, including working with the Epsilon legal team, the client and influencer to arrive at mutually approved and authentic content
    • Conduct monitoring of FTC blogger disclosures to ensure compliance
    • Monthly reporting on blog post amplification and key learnings
  • Paid Social Media Execution
    • Development of paid social media strategies and plans including audiences, optimizations and creative recommendations.
    • Coordination with account teams and clients on the development of project briefs and insertion orders for the approval of campaigns parameters.
    • Building of paid social media campaigns across social media channels, including securing account team and client sign-offs via live links and comps.
    • Launching paid media programs along with coordinating necessary QA checks and reporting.
    • Delivery of paid social media reporting - weekly, monthly and campaigns.
  • Adherence to timeliness without sacrificing quality of work
  • Education: Four-year degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism
  • Passion for social media, emerging technology and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google , Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram and Snap
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to present error free work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing work environment
  • Must be open to working on B2B and B2C clients
  • Must be show flexibility based on overall team needs
  • Organized, can manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience in writing for social media
  • Excellent writing skills, with an eye for proof reading and grammar
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professionalism that traverses online and offline communication
  • Self-directed, ability to work alone with little oversight
