About the Opportunity
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Specialist II provides mid-level support to overall operations in shipping and receiving, and will be responsible for the efficiently processing of incoming/outgoing shipments, inventory tracking and supporting our commitment to exceed customer expectations for both internal and external clients.
Reports to Warehouse manager, with day-to-day supervision and support from Warehouse Lead.

Essential Function

•Adheres to policies and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality, security, safety, and professional conduct
•Ensures proper and safe removal of all waste/recycle materials
•Maintains clean and safe work area
•Unloads trucks to receive inbound shipments
•Weighs and counts receiving inventory
•Documents receiving load log
•Processes daily expedited delivery manifest
•May assist distribution management in ensuring the safe and efficient operations in the distribution department
•May communicate with production managers of daily priorities
•May communicate/resolve mail clearance issues
•May serve as team/shift lead for assigned staff
Knowledge & Skills
•Able to follow directions and make decisions
•Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
•Able to maintain positive, professional demeanor at all times
•Able to perform and understand basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
•Able to use a calculator to solve basic math equations
•Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, procedure manuals, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
•Able to use hand held measuring devices and tools
•Able to work effectively in a cross functional dynamic team environment
•Able to write simple correspondence
• Able to work independently and/or with team oriented environment
•Attention to detail
•Experience using warehouse computer applications
•Must have mechanical aptitude
•Work involves frequent sitting, standing, light lifting (up to 65 lbs)
•Regularly required to move about the facility
•Must have good vision and good hand-eye coordination
Duties & Responsibilities
•Receive all incoming shipments into the warehouse while adhering to receipt procedures
•Pull stock to the production floor when requested in an accurate and timely manner
•Remove all material from the production floor marked as overstock, count, and place material in its designated warehouse location
•Complete all material transfers requested by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
•Scan, weigh, and stage all outgoing mail brought to the "Done" station
•Load all outgoing mail on the appropriate carriers and scan job jackets as delivered
•Empty and replace the bailer and recycling gaylords as necessary
•Take all job jackets scanned as delivered into the office from the previous day
•Empty all recycle bins in the Data Center
•Replenish copy paper in the Data Center when necessary
•Complete inventory destroys when instructed
•Keep the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion free from all garbage and debris
•Perform bi-weekly maintenance on the forklift
•Gather up and weigh all outgoing recycling when a pickup is scheduled
•Help out in all other areas of the lettershop when necessary
•Sorts/stacks/weighs all outgoing co-mingle mail
•Provides daily inventory of postal supplies
•Assists USPS clerks with mail verification
•Flag outgoing mail with appropriate carriers based off of the 2pm truck list
Technical Requirements
•Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, procedure manuals, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
•Experience using warehouse computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

•Requires 1-2 years of related experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving
•2+ years customer service experience
•Requires 1-2 year of related experience
• High school or equivalent required
