Senior Database Developer
Candidate is expected to be familiar with Oracle database development, automation, documentation, UNIX shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, and ETL processing. Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills. Strong SQL, PL/SQL development and tuning skills are required. Good understanding with OLTP system, perform tasks related to full software development life-cycle. This includes planning, analyzing requirement, designing solution developing code using Oracle12c, SQL, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, SQL Scripts, SQL* Loader and Unix K-Shell Scripts.
In addition, the candidate must be well verse with the networking, server architecture, java and Operating Systems. The role requires the full-stack understanding to support the Production Operations.
Development of PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages and reports for OLTP and Decision Support functions. Responsibility includes, but not limited to:
•Development of processes and jobs to support an enterprise marketing system.
•PL/SQL programming must follow Industry coding standards
•Work according to approved statements of requirements and detailed specification.
•Create technical design documents, codes and unit tests all project deliverables.
•On a weekly rotational basis, carry an on-call phone to support the existing process and applications
•Work with the Quality Assurance group to support their testing efforts.
•Able to handle large data files and batch related processes.
•Strong knowledge in server architecture and OS concept - Linux in particular
•Experience with SFTP, MFT, SAML, ESB architecture, TLS, RESTful APIs, OAuth2.0, OpenID, XML, JSON, TCP/IP and Ethernet environments
•Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues
•Knowledge of TCP/IP and IPv6
•Understanding of Load Balancer, Network protocols and Firewalls
•Extensive Java knowledge - Strong in Core Java & Java EE with Analytical skill
•Good knowledge on Unix/Linux
•Knowledge on Weblogic Administration
•Hands on experience on - Should have knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL
•Knowledge of Amazon Web Services would be preferred
•Working knowledge on Oracle ADF or OSB would be added advantage
•Working knowledge on Infra servers
•Ability to diagnose the issue and research the root cause on the complex systems
Qualifications & Experience:
•Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle database systems on UNIX
•Experience working with Oracle 12c
•Development skills must include sound knowledge and experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL.
•Able to write Shell scripting
•4 year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
•Experience working with Oracle objects such as Varrays, object type, associated array is a must.
•Solid understanding of software development lifecycle including data analysis, data modeling and data testing to be able to write quality unit tests and assist the data validation process.
•Development skills must also include good knowledge and experience in Database Design and Data modeling.
•Good working experience in SQL tuning.
•Experience working with Connect Direct NDM
•Experience working with large data sets and/or high transactional volumes
•Experience with COGNOS reports is preferred.
•Experience working with TOAD or PL/SQL developer is preferred.
•Experience developing large data conversion or ETL processes
•Experience in version control and Microsoft Projects.
