The Multi-media Instructional Designer position is responsible for the development of interactive and multimedia eLearning, blended learning, and performance support solutions for Epsilon's email and digital marketing tools and platforms. The Multi-media Instructional Designer partners with team members, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and end user stakeholders to create learning content that is dynamic, efficient, effective, user friendly, and supports the learning objective.
In this role, the Multi-media Instructional Designer will:
•Demonstrate an understanding of overall design requirements and performance objectives for the learning design project.
•Demonstrate an understanding of audience, content, and learning goals to align learning objectives and outcomes accordingly.
•Identify development-related risks or issues with proposed designs.
•Identify existing learning content that may be leveraged or modified to support learning needs.
•Incorporate innovative learning strategies within courseware, including simulations, gaming, social learning, and/or digital media, as appropriate.
•Working with SMEs and end user stakeholders, create a structured storyboard based on sound instructional design and adult learning principles.
•Develop high quality, innovative learning and performance support solutions using multiple learning technologies, while adhering to an agile or rapid eLearning development process and ensuring learning solutions are compliant with development standards. All courses and performance support assets need to be designed so they are 'consumable bits' of learning.
•Remain current in learning technology, learning trends, and innovations in training and instructional methodologies.
•Serve as a subject matter expert regarding eLearning leading practices and advocate for the continuous improvement of the user experience.
•Ensure global applicability of the courses and their readiness for multi-lingual translation. Coordinate translations of online courses and ensure translation accuracy and localization through assistance with in country reviewers.
•Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience and Education
•Experience working in an Agile or rapid eLearning development environment required.
•Excellent communication skills (written, visual, and oral), critical and creative thinking, strong project management skills, and knowledge of leading edge learning technology required.
•Strong ability to work in a fast paced, team environment required.
•Experience in graphic design or visual language strongly preferred.
•Videography experience preferred.
•Familiarity with CXD (customer experience design) principles and practice or related industry experience is highly desirable.
•A membership or affiliation with a professional organization such as ASTD is desired.
•Requires Bachelor's degree in Training, Instructional Design, or a related field, or equivalent work related experience.
•Minimum of 4 years of experience delivering online learning solutions.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Captivate 8, and Camtasia is required.
•Experience with Photoshop/Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver is desired.
