Lead .Net Developer


About the Opportunity

The Lead .Net Developer will need to be proficient in utilizing strong .Net development knowledge. This is a hands-on position responsible for the design, development, management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure automation applications as well as web services, websites, batch and transaction processing.

Essential Functions

  • Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or other programs
  • Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, performs testing, and debugging of applications
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
  • Collaborates with technical and non-technical associates to understand user and organizational needs specific to at least one system process or component on projects within manager’s domain
  • Completes coding using proper coding and quality standards
  • May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications

  • Support organizational strategies and provides organizational improvement
  • Identifies appropriate risk and develops mitigation plan
  • Researches market to identify and upcoming technology to implement within the company

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical vision, direction, and architecture of the project
  • Produce design documentation including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and state diagrams
  • Translate business needs/requirements into technical solutions
  • Liaison between the client and offshore technology development teams
  • Assess performance implications of design trade-offs
  • Verify that the design established is implemented as specified
  • Works with the Project Manager to determine technical activities, durations, and dependencies
  • Leads and mentors technical resources
  • Development of applications on various technical platforms (.Net, Ansible, AWS, Powershell, etc)
  • Demonstrates development expertise through successful software delivery
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of .Net framework, Common Language Runtime, event handling, and UI usability concepts
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of SOA architecture on .NET (WCF) ASP .NET MVC, Transaction Processing, and RESTful Services

Technical Requirements

  • 7+ years of .NET development experience
  • Exposure to PHP
  • 7+ years of ASP.NET development experience
  • 7+ years of C# experience required
  • At least 2 years of experience in a software lead role with a focus on .NET
  • 2+ years working with SOA architecture on .NET
  • Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Hands on experience with Ansible
  • At least 2 years’ experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Responsive Web Design, and Razor
  • Extensive experience with designing complex applications
  • Proven abilities to refactor existing architectures
  • Proven abilities to performance tune existing application and build highly scalable systems
  • Very good understanding of the software development life cycle process
  • Strong SQL knowledge (SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
  • Proven abilities in Object Oriented design and design patterns.

  • Able to provide and adjust reasonable task estimates including effort as appropriate and necessary


  • Requires 6 years of related experience in software development


  • Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
