Data Programmer II



  • Receive and process data feeds.
  • Verify input data quality, including identification and communication of file variances and potential issues.
  • Manage quality assurance of input feeds.
  • Maintain documentation of processes, file layouts, and/or schedules.
  • Batch and process large amounts of data through a custom database system for Direct Mail programs.
  • Apply marketing data translations and suppressions when requested. Run QC checks to ensure accuracy of mailing.
  • Perform file transfers using Epsilons data security protocols
  • Manage the quality and timeliness of output deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Test/Quality Control the solution.
  • Assists in research projects and ad hoc projects.
  • Ability to work with developers, project managers, business analysts, account managers, and/or tech lead to achieve desired results.
  • Achieve the timely delivery of data products, data files, and data audit reports
  • Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining mission-critical and complex database environments and apply best practices development patterns to new and existing table structures.


  • Must possess knowledge of MS SQL2008, applications data access methods, Transact-SQL, and stored procedures
  • Must have a basic knowledge of MS Office, mainly, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to take direction and work well with others.
  • Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines.
  • Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately
  • Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Think logically and be able to articulate thoughts in a clear, concise manner
  • Comfortably work both individually and as part of a group
  • Efficiently manage multiple concurrent assignments
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with managers and co-workers
  • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills are also required.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
