Summary:
The P&C Claims Specialist is responsible for all functions related to the adjustment of commercial liability and 1st party property damage claims and must be able to manage a claim caseload, work autonomously, prioritize responsibilities, and fulfill quality and customer service obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work autonomously
- Liability loss investigations and evaluation damages, liability, and monetary exposures
- Adjustment of midlevel 1st party property losses
- Understanding of common policy forms and coverage analysis
- Ability to author professional correspondence
- Occasional site investigations, mediation attendance, participation at meetings with clients, insureds, insurers, or prospective clients

Qualifications:
- Abstract thinking and comparative analysis capabilities
- Minimum five years experience adjusting commercial Auto and General Liability, limited 1st and 3rd party Property Damage. Experience adjusting public entity or educational institution claims a plus
- Experience working with Self- Insured Retention programs a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and/ or comparable industry experience
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Indiana adjuster license in force or able to obtain, and any other State adjuster licenses as needed
- A functional understanding of the use and operation of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
