DESCRIPTION

The role will be to oversee management and EPAM clients' relationships. The Senior Technical Delivery Manager - Data is accountable for the overall project delivery, client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time and within budget.

You are bringing delivery expertise and theoretical knowledge from Big Data domain, working alongside a globally renowned, award-winning development and technology teams who are passionate about what they do, and how they do it. To play a key role building strong business / technology relationships, taking a 'hands on' approach to define and deliver embodying and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

  • Practical experience in delivering projects in Big Data, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence. Familiar with relevant technological solution, industry practices
  • Familiar with multiple Big Data technology stacks (e.g., NoSQL, Hadoop, Hive, YARN, Kafka)
  • Aware of various tools, techniques, and hands-on knowledge on some of the tools, techniques (e.g., Python, Spark, R; data mining, predictive analytics, machine learning, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization, aware of various tools, technologies
  • Good understanding of classical analytics methods; including relevant theories
  • Understanding data related security challenges
  • Establish long-term partnerships with the clients and manage their expectations
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for delivery, acting as a single point of responsibility over any delivery related matters, including escalations, upsells, ramp-downs, etc., for Client and EPAM Stakeholders
  • Build the delivery plan along with estimations on timeframes, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement projects
  • Revenue and resource forecasting at an account level
  • Establish criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design, and cost
  • Assure governance of processes in delivery management and production as per selected delivery model
  • Support the client by devising innovative solutions to business problems and processes, especial those that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements and better user experiences
  • Perform knowledge management within the organization, define skills/technologies to be learned and request respective trainings
  • Support the team, ensuring motivation actions and coach/verify how the same is performed by managers and team leaders from your organization
  • Conduct performance appraisals and manage compensation cycles
  • Ensure that proper software development processes and engineering standards are in place
Requirements
  • Own end to end solution delivery on the assigned account(s)
  • Accountable for the technical leadership regarding the delivery. Ensuring a sound and future proof architecture is planned and the implementation meets the technical quality standards
  • Experience in managing big data projects
  • Experience in people management and growing the organization
  • Experience in IT project management, including management of several projects in parallel
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Cloud Migration Projects
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in client relationship management and ability to manage, direct and command respect from technical and delivery team members
  • Ability to engage with the client in technology discussions
  • Previous experience in working within outsourcing environment and managing offshore delivery organizations is highly desirable
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written
