Then you have an opportunity to join as an IOT Data Architect to work with highly skilled and engaged teams across the globe to help transform our client's businesses.

The successful candidate will become a trusted advisor to our Customers and will work with our business development, account and delivery management teams, solution architects, and our IoT competency team to drive IoT data and analytics related adoption and revenue.
What You'll Do
  • Develop high volume and high velocity IoT data ingestion and processing solutions. This includes edge analytics, machine learning and advanced analytics solutions to create actionable intelligence
  • Bring an expertise and passion for designing cloud-based IoT solutions to a wide range of projects
  • Work directly with our clients-some of the world's leading companies - and our multidisciplinary product development teams to architect connected product ecosystems in a variety of industries like consumer electronics and industrial, medical, and agricultural systems
  • Solve challenges with latency, security, edge computation, and power constraints
  • Responsible for choosing the right cloud platform (or custom infrastructure) and software architecture to best suit a project's requirements, standing up initial prototypes along with product design teams and providing team oversight for full-scale development
  • Collaborate with EPAM's business development and account management teams to explain our IoT systems engineering capability to potential clients
  • Lead the strategic growth of EPAM back-end systems architecture capability
What You Have
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics
  • 8+ years of experience building production-ready server-side systems
  • 5+ years of experience developing software on two or more major cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of major common data streaming and database frameworks
  • A great understanding of security considerations in IoT systems design
  • A record of success in designing production backend systems as lead architect
  • Experience developing solutions leveraging data science and machine learning
  • Experience programming applications backed by cloud services
  • Experience collaborating with customers to define requirements and then translating those requirements into system designs
  • Experience working with stakeholders to make solution-space tradeoffs
  • Demonstrated proactive attitude with a willingness to find innovative solutions that drive results
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experience in an externally-facing role, including superb writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
