Entertainment One’s Family & Brands Division is now gearing up for the launch of its newest property, Ricky Zoom, a brand new animated pre-school TV series from the producers of PJ Masks.

Position Summary

This role will be responsible for retail development and management of our retail events for all Entertainment One’s Family Brands in the US (including Peppa Pig and PJ Masks). Reporting to the Director, Retail - North America and working with the US licensing team, the Manager, Retail will help create unique branded retail programs within the coordinated brand strategy, educate and motivate retail buyers to support our brand roster and maximize our presence at retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and cultivate day to day relationships while growing eOne’s brands at the following channels/retailers:
  • Specialty - Book, Party, Craft/Hobby, Home, Infant, Footwear, Electronics
  • Online – Zulily, Wayfair
  • Mid tier – Kohl’s, JCPenney
  • Department – Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s
  • Value – Dollar General, Family Dollar
  • Update our retail partners on brand activity and performance to maximize in-store presence and placement on a consistent basis. 
  • Identify new retail opportunities – in and out of aisle- to extend our brands’ reach and secure incremental space for our licensees.
  • Work closely with our Licensing Team to ensure eOne’s relationships with licensees and retailers are aligned.  Ensure regular communication between all parties regarding product roll out, launch plans and product offerings, as well as any issues from a supply perspective
  • Craft and deliver tailored retail presentations and a quarterly newsletter to relevant buyers at key time periods with the Director, Retail. 
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Licensing, International, Marketing/PR, Product Development and Business Affairs and Accounts, to share information and ideas on a regular basis.
  • Regular analysis of licensees’ and competitors’ promotions through store visits of all retailers.
  • Working in partnership with Director, Retail to brainstorm, create and implement retail marketing events and promotions that will provide broader retail support of our brands.
  • Support Canadian agent in executing retail development programs and promotions in Canada in tandem with the Director, Retail.
  • Regular attendance of trade shows and social industry functions where applicable – including NY Toy Fair and Licensing Expo.

Key Competencies

  • Strong experience in developing and delivering commercial Retail Marketing initiatives for Entertainment Product
  • Experience in working for a Licensor, Licensee or Retailer in a Retail Development, Retail Account Management, Buying or Retail Marketing role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a related area of concentration
  • Excellent knowledge of the North American retail landscape
  • Sound organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commercially astute with first-rate relationship building abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who can contribute to a strong, growing business
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is imperative
