Lead AV Event Technician - Las Vegas, NV 1519

Encore is seeking a Lead Audio/Visual Technician to set, strike and operate all AV equipment in the hotel. You must meet with the client before every event to make sure they understand what gear they have, how to operate it or introduce them to the Technician running their event. This position is responsible for working with the Production Coordinator on any billing changes and for making sure that all rooms are set on time and struck completely. Additional responsible include:

Support management while maintaining a positive relationship with both hotel and AV technicians.
Retrieve, prepare and expedite equipment order in a timely matter.
Set-up, operate and dismantle AV equipment.
Assist clients with AV needs.
Maintain, clean and keep inventory of all equipment.
Coordinate with Banquets/Catering Managers on food functions.
Conduct site surveys and prepare quotes and contracts for clients as needed.
Answer phones, filing and faxing.

Three (3) to four (4) years of Hotel Audiovisual experience or a combination of education, training and experience.
Thorough understanding of professional audio/visual equipment.
Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Must be self-motivated, self-starter with sense of urgency.
Detail and service oriented with strong organizational skills.
Strong computer skills.
Rigging experience preferred
Technical experience with audio/visual rentals within a production company preferred

High School Diploma or GED
Associate's Degree or Technical Trade School Degree preferred
