Product Manager, User Experience

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Actively and constantly collaborate with internal and external resources to collect, communicate, define and document business requirements and feedback in order to turn ideas into meaningful and impactful experiences
  • Track and prioritize requests from a variety of end users and help develop an internal and external roadmap
  • Use mixed usability testing methods to gather qualitative and quantitative data and translate that data into requirements/user stories and design decisions for feature enhancements or new products
  • Communicate validated concepts to product owners, engineers, leadership, and customers; conceptualize and communicate design ideas to stakeholders and promote product design within the organization
  • Partner and collaborate with IT development and the design team to iteratively enhance screens/workflows/features; provide feedback on proposed features’ design, experience and ability to meet the business need
  • Facilitate conversations to build consensus on user experience direction and design
  • Analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and create detailed user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria
  • Deliver items that help articulate the long term vision, including sketches, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user interface specifications
  • Review delivered functionality to ensure it aligns with requirements and document discrepancies
  • Support creation of internally and externally facing materials to facilitate the roll-out of new and enhanced products and features, including procedural documentation and product descriptions; provide feature details to Product Marketing to support material creation
  • Support Sales demo updates to ensure the demo accurately reflects current and upcoming functionality
  • Keep project team well informed of changes in requirements and scope
  • Identify and escalate potential project risks to Product Management leadership


Desired Skills:

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience in product management and development
  • Experience designing digital products on a variety of platforms, including web and mobile (iOS and Android)
  • Experience with digital consumer engagement
  • Experience working with engineers to deploy and iterate on live software or apps
  • Prior experience in benefit program administration and/or healthcare and knowledge of Health and Welfare benefits and processes a strong plus
  • A strong understanding of user experience principles, user research and testing methods
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, specifically documentation skills
  • Ability to collect varying and potentially conflicting feedback and distill it into meaningful requirements/direction
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and lead discussions to consensus
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-conscious, yet open and flexible to others’ ideas and suggestions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in the use of development methodologies; e.g., Agile, Scrum
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
