Senior Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer working on the Enterprise Implementation team you will act as the technical resource for the Sales team, during the sales process, for enterprise configurations, integrations, and custom development efforts.   This includes managing and interpreting customer requirements and providing solutions within the available technology offerings.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable working directly with clients and must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. 

Job Description 

  • Supports sales during the sales cycle with discovery calls/meetings and provides implementation solutions and ensures solution is in-line with partner needs
  • Gathers and interprets functional and technical requirements during the sales process
  • Designs implementation solutions for enterprise partners
  • Provide support to Program Managers for integration and custom development efforts
  • Reviews contracts pertaining to software functionality and writes statements of work for custom partner efforts
  • Coordinates technical solutions across multiple functional organizations
  • Provide support for integration and custom development efforts for enterprise partners
  • Answers technical questions pertaining to RFIs and RFPs
  • Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to management
  • Remains current on technical and professional developments affecting areas of responsibility
  • Requires up to 50% travel



Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years’ experience in a sales engineering or software development position


  • Clear understanding of enterprise software implementation and technical services
  • Past experience with software application development
  • Strong requirements gathering, analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with competing priorities
  • Top notch organizational skills and ability to work within processes
  • Independent decision making skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
