Senior Market Research Analyst

Dallas, TX

The Senior Market Research Analyst works with leaders across the eMoney organization to understand and assess business needs and design and execute qualitative and quantitative research to positively impact the overall success and strategy of eMoney. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute research and is responsible for analyzing data and delivering results in clear, compelling and diverse forms. This role must be able to isolate, explore and recommend strategic business and marketing opportunities based on research that demonstrates an advanced understanding of our products, customers, competitors, and industry climate both today and in the future.  The Senior Analyst will act as a mentor and leader within the department and assist with day to day operations of the Market Research Team to ensure work is prioritized appropriately, projects are completed, and findings shared in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to scope and develop a firm-wide research agenda and manage the intake process to ensure research efforts are aligned with broader organizational goals and influence both strategic business and marketing decisions 
  • Lead all aspects of the research process, from idea generation through to execution and then publication, working closely with internal subject matter experts to execute complex and multidiscipline studies
  • Coordinate the organization’s competitive analysis capabilities, establishing a framework and working closely with internal subject matter experts to deliver timely analysis of key competitors’ products/services, positioning in the market, and overall business strategy.
  • Develop strong relationships with a stable of 3rd party research vendors, data providers and with FCCS Market Research team
  • Actively participate in the development and ongoing oversight of eMoney’s data strategy, ensuring Product Marketing team has access to appropriate client demographic and behavioral data, as well as campaign level data to drive improved marketing results and data driven decision making
  • Analyze, interpret, and publish data with the goal of uncovering and delivering actionable opportunities related to use of product, client needs, market insights, new business and product opportunities, and marketing strategy
  • Structure/deliver research findings clearly and crisply both in written form and in front of diverse audiences
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor positioning to deliver regular competitive analysis and recommendations for product, marketing, and thought leadership opportunities based on results
  • Utilize project management skills to meet project deadlines and deliver results in a timely and effective manner
  • Actively participate in business partner activities, including staff and other meetings as needed, conveying clear perspective based on planned or conducted research activity  
  • Act as a trusted partner to provide tactical and strategic recommendations related to business and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Marketing or Research or equivalent working experience required; college degree preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant market research experience, preferably in Financial Services industry
  • 1-2 years of analyst experience in Finance, Consulting, Investor Relations, or similar field 

Skills

  • Advanced understanding of multiple research techniques and methodologies, qualitative and quantitative
  • Demonstrated qualitative experience: ability to conduct in-depth interviews
  • Demonstrated experience publishing thought leadership content from research results
  • Demonstrated experience running tracking programs such as client satisfaction and brand equity
  • Demonstrated experience working with external research vendors
  • Ability to create without a prototype
  • Experience supporting several departments with diverse needs
  • Demonstrated experience presenting complex data and articulating its meaning
  • Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information and share results in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Ability to manage multiple market research studies and projects simultaneously with both internal resources and external vendors
  • Natural curiosity and instinct to learn, analyze and draw conclusions to questions relevant to eMoney’s success.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to “see the headline” and supporting narrative from individual research efforts
  • Adept at navigating multiple systems/applications to facilitate research programs (i.e., Sales Force, Looker)
  • Proven ability to champion recommendations and influence decisions at all levels of management
  • SPSS, Strong Qualtrics, Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, Access skills a plus
  • Statistical techniques such as regression analysis, factor analysis, and familiarity with SPSS is a plus



The salary range for this position is $86,000 - $110,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.  This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
