Senior HR Generalist

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR- and recruiting-related and helping to promote a fast-paced, collaborative, innovative and fun company culture.  Under the direction of the Director, HR, they will provide HR services to drive employee engagement, employee satisfaction, employee relations, development and growth.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable juggling multiple priorities and takes pride in providing excellent service to employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR resource for the Rhode Island office, including HR needs, recruiting support, and admin support as needed
  • Maintain good employee relations through effective communication and prompt attention to employee concerns and questions
  • Work with managers to address performance management and policy violation issues
  • Work with the HR team to lead or support key HR programs including
    • Compensation
    • Training & Development
    • Performance Appraisals and management
  • Participate in new employee orientation including benefits overviews, building tours, orientation schedules and introduction to the company culture
  • Able to step in as a full-cycle recruiting business partner as needed during times of increased hiring
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees by responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs quickly, thoroughly and in a friendly, helpful manner
  • Develop and tracks HR metrics around training, performance management, compensation and other related HR-topics
  • Work with Legal and outside vendors on Worker’s Comp and employee leave programs
  • Develop and maintains job descriptions
  • Aid in the implementation of employee engagement, perks and rewards and recognitions programs and policies.  Act as the Employee Engagement Committee’s Rhode Island representative
  • Work with legal team to identify and implement legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Provide input into the development of department strategy & goals
  • Promote and exemplify the core values of Collaboration, Innovation, Passion, Integrity and Fun
  • Partner within department to provide support on benefits, recruiting, HRIS and onboarding as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 5%


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience required
  • 6+ years of experience in HR in a corporate setting required, SaaS or other high tech business experience preferred
  • 1+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • PHR preferred


  • Strong working knowledge of MR Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • HRIS experience required; prior experience with ADP strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HR policies and laws, California HR policy and law knowledge a plus
  • Customer service orientation, always friendly and polite
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organization, multitasking and time management skills
  • Proactive and a self-starter able to work independently within a team environment
  • Maturity, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality a must
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
