Senior Business Analyst, Internal Systems

The Senior Business Analyst, Internal Systems plays a critical role in the partnership between eMoney business stakeholders and the Internal Systems team. This strategic and hands-on role combines deep understanding and analysis of cross-functional operations with systems knowledge to drive delivery of prioritized initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst develops and maintains productive working relationships with stakeholders, key business owners and peers to drive enterprise goals.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly balance progress across Strategic Initiatives, partnering with stakeholders and development team members on requirements and architectural direction for large-scale solutions, features, enhancements and issues related to various business systems, such as CRM, Billing, and Marketing Automation, as they arise. To ensure success, the Senior Business Analyst will create working groups that bring together diverse skill sets and business perspectives, lead the aggregation, analysis, and documentation of technical and business requirements, and continually confirm alignment with business vision. By creating and providing clear, well-refined requirements to Product Owners and development teams, they impact the design, timing, and implementation of solutions.

The Senior Business Analyst will act as a servant-leader to initiative working groups, providing perspective, guidance, and project management that represents shared priorities, identifying opportunities for collaboration and efficiencies of scale. In addition, they are a key point of communication back to stakeholders, business owners, and end users, effecting organizational readiness, evangelizing solutions, and promoting the effective use of data, information, and technology to inform decisions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply technical and operational subject matter expertise, best practices, and thought leadership around the internal tech stack to lead and influence solution design related to various business systems
  • Develop and feed the development team backlogs; partner with Product Owners on ongoing prioritization, refinement, communications, and expectations (development team and business owners across business units)
  • Collaborate with end users, business owners and leadership in the design and development of business requirements, reporting and data needs, workflows, use cases, test scripts, and training materials
  • Drive development teams to delivery by exploring and documenting solutions, which may include tool implementations, workflow/process engineering, and/or system modifications
  • Represent specific business areas in cross-functional teams to build economies of scale, tighter integrations, improved handoffs, timely data sharing, and greater overall cohesion within each functional area of the organization and the enterprise
  • Team with the Data and Analytics program in representing business area priorities and client experiences to discern patterns, areas for improvement, data gaps, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership and wider cross-functional teams to refine and build processes that optimize client experiences and enhance client experience data capture
  • Understand complex and/or competing business needs and translate them into functional requirements
  • Act as a bi-directional point of contact between Sales, Marketing, and Client Services Operations, business owners, end users and the Internal Systems team – building and managing the initiative backlog and communicating priorities, risks, and timelines
  • Write functional test cases and work with Quality Assurance in the areas of auditing and testing
  • Manage and run User Acceptance testing, following feature launch through to production and ensure successful long-term delivery through customer feedback and KPIs


  • Bachelor’s degree or related field or equivalent experience required
  • 5-7 years of Business Analysis or Solutions Architect experience, preferably in a SaaS environment and/or in the financial services/fintech industry
  • Salesforce/CRM, Zuora/ERP, and/or Marketing Automation Platform experience (preferred)


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
