Director, Marketing Communications

The Director, Marketing Communications is responsible for planning, developing, leading and executing eMoney’s marketing and communication strategy. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Director, Marketing Communications leads and inspires a cross-departmental team including PR, Corporate Communications, Client Communications, and Content Marketing. Primary responsibilities include identifying short- and long-term objectives and strategies that help drive business goals, implementing strategic and tactical PR efforts, leading internal and external communications efforts, and developing multi-media content to drive demand.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement and manage a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance eMoney’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public
  • Measure, analyze and report on marketing and communications effectiveness to optimize efforts (PR, Content, Client Communications, Internal Communications)
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure the impact of MarCom on eMoney’s growth goals
  • Develop and implement an integrated content strategy that drives brand affinity and generates demand in support of inbound and account based marketing initiatives
  • Oversee all content creation efforts to ensure accuracy, brand alignment and appropriate audience segmentation
  • Lead eMoney’s thought leadership strategy including the commissioning and creation of content in support of that strategy
  • Lead our client communications team in development of communication strategies that aid in client acquisition, as well as cross-sell, upsell, and retention goals
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop a PR plan to advance eMoney’s brand identity, expand awareness for our products and services, support our corporate priorities, and drive increased sales
  • Oversee internal and agency-led PR initiatives and interface with agency partners to ensure alignment with overall marketing plans and achievement of performance goals
  • Ensure our internal and external messaging adheres to our corporate brand and our positioning is relevant, consistent, embraced, and differentiated
  • Design and implement an internal communications strategy that can scale across multiple locations and support the ongoing growth of the company – and build effective relationships with stakeholders in human resources, recruitment, and business development in support of those grow goals
  • Effectively manage, coach, lead, and mentor a high-performing and results-driven team

 

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing or related field with progressive leadership roles
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading and managing effective teams
  • Experience working in financial services or technology sectors a plus (particularly SaaS-based companies)
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and analytical but also strategic, future forward-thinking, and not afraid to implement new ideas in support of rapid growth

  • Demonstrated understanding of disruptive digital marketing trends and changing customer behavior
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective content strategies the drive demand and scaling them across a growing company
