Analyst, Strategy and Planning

Job Description

  • Support strategy and planning, market, customer and competitor research & analysis, financial modeling
  • Maintain and improve an efficient operating model for eMoney, developing a deep understanding of SaaS unit economics and ensuring our pricing and delivery models are designed to meet our margin & growth objectives
  • Support pricing and presentation of enterprise software deals
  • Develop insightful and meaningful analysis, with the right level of detail
  • Conduct secondary research to understand industry trends, competitors, customers, regulatory changes, or technology changes
  • Interact with eMoney personnel at various levels, to gather data and build consensus
  • Prepare high-quality documents and presentations that articulate “the story” quickly and effectively
  • Produce and report on initiatives to a senior audience, including producing regular scorecards and status updates
  • Develop a deep understanding of our industry and formalizing a process to circulate key industry news & research to the leadership team and company as a whole
  • Work with business partners to drive improved business analytics and analysis, both financial and operational in nature
  • Support projects across the organization to identify and present actionable strategic and analytic insights that will help senior management make informed decisions


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience which should include a successful track record of developing business strategy, financial modeling and analysis, competitive analysis, business planning. 
  • Direct experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital strongly preferred


  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and complex strategic analysis projects
  • SaaS experience a plus
  • Interest in and understanding of the technology industry, specifically ‘fintech’
  • Strong analytic capability with an attention to detail and the ability to work at different levels of detail and concisely summarize complex information
  • Proven ability and flexibility to manage multiple priorities on a deadline basis
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and hardworking self-starter who is flexible and can work on multiple projects simultaneously (independently and on teams)
  • Functions well under pressure and can work extended hours as needed
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment
  • Reliable team member, contributor, or leader as the situation demands 
  • Outstanding Software skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong conceptual skills tempered by a bottom-line business orientation
  • Strong research and communication skills -- in written, verbal and presentation form
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and project management skills
