Accounting Manager

Wayne, PA

The Accounting Manager will manage the corporate accounting operations team. The responsibilities include ownership of the general ledger; ensuring accurate information is recorded on a timely basis and in compliance with US GAAP.

Given the scope of impact, the role partners closely with FP&A, as well as various business stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role is highly analytical, can operate in a fast-paced, changing, innovative environment, with outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and analysis of business operations including entire monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities, 
  • Ensuring the proper recording of financial activities according to US GAAP, statutory reporting requirements, and Corporate policies.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Manage the department’s support for external & internal auditors
  • Prepare the annual financial statements and footnotes in conjunction with the company’s independent auditors
  • Provide input into the development of accounting policies and lead the implementation of procedures and processes to ensure compliance with related policies
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to Finance and other key business members
  • Design and implement internal control procedures that ensure proper recording and reporting of financial results and prevent material misstatements to management and financial statement reporting
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost efficiency
  • Establish strong business partnerships with other functions throughout the organization
  • Support the creation and maintenance of monthly financial forecasts and annual budgets, with a focus on department costs, expenses, corporate allocations and headcount
  • Manage and oversee the payroll process
  • Recruit, develop, and train a qualified accounting team
  • Help drive the focus on operating results and continuous improvement by developing metrics and KPIs and related analyses that identify improvement areas, especially in financial and administrative processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA required)
  • Experience in a SaaS related company
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, preferably with hands-on experience with software revenue recognition rules and capitalized internally developed software
  • Supervisory/management experience required
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to perform various tasks accurately and timely
  • Ability to prioritize multiple workloads
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Adaptive Insights, Concur, and Zuora
